Note and Record Keeping of Job Interviews
August 22nd, 2008
Write down everything that you think about - the company. where you have just been, what the interviewers office had special in terms of momentos , hangings on the wall and nick nacks of accomplishments. It was once noted that the interviewer authority of note had an award won at Aberdeen School in Winnipeg prominently hanging on his wall as if that was his last major accomplishment of his life. This could be recorded as a person putting in time - not only in their profession but in life. The question then becomes - who is the real authority figure or boss in this situation. What was the person wearing ? The pen and paper or computer that they used . Nothing is to small or insignificant to mark down.
The point is that is that take the time to record - to make notes - that you be ahead of 99.9 % of the other candidates - well at least 99.8. The mind forgets details quickly. On top of that why fill up and clutter your mind with minutae when you have other more important things to cover. It all comes down to having ready access to the information.
By keeping proper records of your job employment interviews - you will be shown to be an intelligent organized person . Even if your car is dirty and full of junk waiting to be emptied this is the presentation that will be afforded and remembered. Further it is amazing at how seemingly minor , unimportant pieces of information will not only add up in volume , rapidly , and present clear trends and conclusions that you might not of readily come to or be afforded.
